Celebration of Birth Tithi of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Deva

REPORT

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati observed the 186th Birth Tithi of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Deva on 15th March 2021 and Public Celebrations on 21st , 27th and 28th March 2021 with following programmes :-

15th March 2021 (Monday) : This sacred day was observed with Special Puja and Homa of Sri Ramakrishna Deva and discourse on life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Deva was held at the premises of the Ashrama. Hundreds of devotees congregated to pay obeisance to Sri Ramakrishna Deva and about 5000 devotees took packaged Khichuri Prasad on this day.

27th March 2021 (Saturday) : Bhakta Sanmelan was arranged by the Ashrama which was attended by 198 devotees. Revered Swami Achyuteshananda ji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh and Trustee, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal, Swami Vedaswarupananda ji Maharaj, Director, Youth Conference Department, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Gol Park, Kolkata, West Bengal delivered talks on Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Sri Maa and Swamiji and importance and significance of Bhakta Sanmelan.

28th March 2021 (Sunday) : A Public Meeting was arranged at our Vivekananda Hall in the afternoon. Revered Swami Achyuteshananda ji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh and Trustee, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal, Swami Vedaswarupananda ji Maharaj, Director, Youth Conference Department, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Gol Park, Kolkata, West Bengal and Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Former Vice Chancellor, Gauhati University and Advisor, State Innovation & Transformation Aayog, Govt. of Assam delivered their speeches on Life and Teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Deva, Sri Maa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.

As a part of welfare activities Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati provided One-time Scholarship to 6 nos. of poor and meritorious students, 6 nos. of Sewing Machines and 5 nos. of Tatsals to the poor and needy women from different villages of Kamrup (Metro) and Morigaon District.

After the Public meeting a cultural programme (Vocal Music) was performed by Sri Rabindra Majumder of Hojai, Assam, which was attended by good number of music lovers of Guwahati.
